The Art of Mandala

Madala Art

The literal meaning word Mandala means magic circle. The mandala is a centring space for the soul and an art therapy tool for making order out of disorder. Ancient Hindu scriptures depict mandalas as a period of creativity, of powerful existence, and a symbol of deeper connection with the self and the universe at large.

This form of art has a unique essence and I started practicing and making these pieces first by just doodling random patterns which resulted in a one of a kind art form. The first art piece comprises of neutral colors (black and white) pattern-filled circles with a background of gradient watercolors. The second one is quite the opposite where the solitary black UFO stands alone amongst a colorful cluster of semi-circles.
